Good article jayber, great insight into the economic situation. I have struggled from the beginning with the idea of the "big government" bailing out these institutions. I have heard today that these bail outs were necessary to stave off the impending economic doom (as most media outlets have categorized it)but I still struggle with not letting the free market run its course.
I think I struggle most with this quote from the article. But I have alot to learn.
"It is now conventional wisdom that recent events have guaranteed a heavier regulatory hand for government in the economy."
